I returned to photographic practice in 2009, whilst also working part time and self-employed in IT. My intention was to eventually work as a self-employed digital artist, landscape, fine art and commercial real-estate/architectural photographer.
I refined my photography, editing and retouching skills over a decade and decided in 2019 that I would back up my skillset with a BA Photography degree, which also provided access to studios, studio equipment and lighting, analogue equipment and processing, as well as for conceptual and critical studies, to further develop an understanding of photographic my practice.
I no longer work in IT but I have industry insight, technical expertise, software and hardware experience that extends into my photographic practice, such as: Web, CMS and FTP, asset management and backup strategies, common office applications (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint or google docs), colour management workflow, print production, PC and Mac OS, computing devices and peripherals, and the aptitude and ability easily to learn new packages and systems as required.
