Fishermen and their Fishing Boats
I took these images in whilst visiting Hastings 2005, shortly after I got my first DSRL. I had a kit lens and very little in the way of experience, this became my first documentary photography shoot, even if I didn't realise it at the time!
I was fascinated by the way local fishermen mechanically dragged their boats out of the water onto a sloped wall of shingle, eager seagulls stood by, hoping to catch a juicy scrap.
I stylised this selection with a muted vintage look because this moment is now a distant memory.
