The special collections library includes the (London Metropolitan) University Archive, the Atkins/Atcraft Archive (trade catalogues, ledgers and many other documents from these furniture manufacturers), and the Frederick Parker Collection (over 200 chairs, ranging in date from 1660 to the present day, and a substantial archive which consists of related historical documents and artefacts). Additionally, a collection of Artists' Books and a number of oversized books, many of which relate to art and design topics, can be found in the Reading Room.
